Just to confirm wht the dials look like, the italic is subtle but its there, I guess the rev limit is easier to spot.

Thanks for that. I've just been out to the car (again  ) but can't see that the rev counter looks very italicised. It definitely redlines at 7K. I think I'd have to compare it in real life with a 122 model to see if there's any difference.

So far pretty well :D After today's fairly gentle driving, I'm showing an average of 44.1 mpg. Quite how that'll change once I start to put my foot down remains to be seen

Found a pic of the 122 from madant

Maybe your total avrage of over 44 MPG suggests its a 122 engine, or your driving it too gently

Thanks again. The speedo in that pic only goes to 140. Mine, like yours, goes to 160. I still think the digits on my rev counter look more like standard than italic but perhaps they do look a little more like yours than Madant's.

As I said earlier, today's was a deliberately gentle drive - I've still only got 145 miles clocked up in total :D So although I kept pretty much to the speed limit - oh, all right, perhaps a tad more on the dual carriageway between Sherborne and Yeovil - the roads are such that overtaking is impossible unless you pile on the revs.

But it's nice to think I'll be able to do that the next time I make the journey

Cool, well really hope that you have the 185 model, would love one but doesn't fit the Co2 level that I need for work

Check date: OK not 1st April

Quick...............do the lottery, NOW

That aside surely they can't hide the bloody supercharger, it must be visible somewhere under the bonnet

I've got the Audi Sound System and have been so impressed with it I was going to start a thread about it tonight. Then this started ......
Going off topic now, but I agree, it is a pretty good upgrade! I'm curious, though, as to what your settings are for subwoofer, bass and treble?

I endlessly fiddle with settings like this on all my AV kit anyway, but the performance of this system in particular seems to vary wildly depending on the track (although never really bad). The bass can sound perfect on one track, but then switch to another and it's too boomy! Some tracks are susceptible to brightness in the treble, some aren't. I guess this must be down to the music and not the speaker system though.
I'm still waiting for the SD card to arrive (so much for paying extra for 1st class post :x ) so today I just listened to Adele's 21 CD and a bit of bluetooth streaming of some Apple lossless tracks on the iPhone. I've turned the subwoofer up a bit, and also the bass, but left the treble untouched.

Once I've found a setting I'm happy with I tend not to twiddle too much, the same with the AV at home. Although I did spend megamoney on upgrading the system last year ......

Alternatively being a pessimist, it was going to be a 185 hence the sticker, but it got fitted with a 122 engine, so they pushed it out anyway

I think you need to post some pics. Especially as you have more add ons than most.

You can tell if your car has 185 hp by looking at the counters: 122 hp stops at 240 km/h and 185hp is up to 260 km/h. It's very probably that you got the 185 hp.
Second, 185 hp and 90 hp diesel don't have start&stop + recuperation functions.
This means that you indeed have the 185 hp version. Although I'm a little suspicious about the fact that Audi made such a mistake, there might be some problems:
1. If they're papers say that they delivered you a 122 hp engine, you'll lose the 5 year warranty because the engines don't match.
2. Recheck and see if you didn't actually pay for a 185 hp car. The dealer could of entered the wrong codes in your order. (if been to the Ingolstadt factory and after seeing the way they work it's very improbable to be they're mistake).

My dealer didn't knew about the A1 in depth, so I came with the german pricelist and corected half of the pricing on my order. They would of taken 4000 euros more than what it was worth. Bastards!

And finally I want to ask you if you have needle sweep/swoosh with the advanced key activated from factory?

Ooh, good point about the lottery.

If I knew what the supercharger looked like I'd go out to the car again. But I'm a complete numpty when it comes to under-the-bonnet-related tech and it would probably have to jump out and bite me before I recognised it.

Yes, you're right. I took a few on Saturday but then had a busy couple of days and they're still in the camera. I'm out most of tomorrow too.

One of the first things I did was double-check the invoice. I definitely ordered and paid for the 122 model.

We only get a 3 year warranty in the UK but I've already decided I'll have to go back to the dealer in the next couple of days. And I don't have the needle sweep. As far as I know, it's not activated by default on UK cars.

This means you're one lucky man :D I'm so curious what the dealer will say... I guess he won't take back the car :p

I confused 5 year service plan with warranty :p

I don't understand this needle sweep thing, some have it activated some don't; it just doesn't make sens why Audi would activate only some of them.
