Anyone else's A1 not put itself an hour back? I'm quit surprised as it used to be the case that cars would automatically set the clocks through the radio, and surely modern cars set themselves against the GPS, guess not here

Mine didn't either! I was surprised! Like you said you would think that it was possible with the technology in the car!

I was surprised mine didn't update automatically, especially since my time is set to sync through the sat nav system. Rather than simply putting the clock back an hour, there is an option to turn summertime off in the menu (same effect).

You can set the time to change itself. Its an option somwhere, comes standard without it set.

In the time settings menu you can set all options including manual summer time or automatic. :)

I think you need to edit your Board Preferences and take Summer Time off... .

Set mine to GPS and the time didn't update or change  All that happened was I had a new satellite symbol shown below, but as said it was off on default. Turned off the BST to set the time right.

Need to do some research mates ;) GPS satellites have their own atomic type clocks, forget it exactly now but something like it needs 3 clocks to work out the positioning or something or other look it up mates!

Same! Doesn't even need a calendar, as I think I said at the start it used to be (i'm talking 1994 onwards!) that updated time and info would be sent out over the radio, back when cars electrics comprised of a Bosch Motronic ECU and an airbag was optional extra, and heated mirrors standard
