I have to confess to being disappointed with the Audi Ambient light in our A1. The radio and climate controls are a lovely lush red and the centre console is bathed in a nice red down light. But the LED's in the foot wells and armrests are a really cold white. And do we really need to see what shoes we have on when we're in the car?

I'd much preferred the LED's to have matched the back lighting of the centre controls.

Or, to be colour controlled like in the Mini....

They look really dim in the footwell. They're probably just standard 5mm LEDs like they are in the door handles. If you don't like the colour it's probably an easy soldering job to replace it for any colour of LED?

Yeah i have noticed the reading lights in the centre are a nice blueish white, whilst the rest are a warm white, which looks a little cheap... almost they they imitate a bulb rather than LED.
Its a shame.
A mat eof mine asked me if it was an aftermarket kit as the LED's didn't match the centre ones... wonder how hard it is to replace the LED's with brighter white ones?

All the LEDs (i.e. from the LED pack) in my car are very blue-white - all the same colour. The bulb in the glove box and boot were normal bulbs (i.e. slightly yellow). I've swapped them for LEDs.
