My 1.6 TDI has done just over 20k, recently had its first service, which was at the supplying main dealer. Recently I have noticed a metallic sounding rattle which appears to come from the turbo, this only happens when the engine is cold and will disapear within around 10 minutes or so once the engine is up to temperature. The only indication that this may be from the turbo is that it isn't there are the car accelerates but appears roughly between 2k revs upwards... Has anyone else had any interesting noised coming from this direction, before taking it back to the dealer, which due to the nature of this one, they will want it probably for a couple of days as there is only the window of when the engine is cold to find it!, any thoughts greatly appreciated, thanks

Mine did exactly the same when started from cold, took it back and had software updates done and problem gone.
