For changing over the tyres for winter I priced a set of 225/35-18 tyres from local car component place, and the manager told me to try 225/45-18 tyres and he calculated at 70mph on speedo you are actually doing 72mph.
Also the sales pitch is "cheaper" with the 225/45-18 tyres because he couldn't find a cost for the exact match 225/35-18 in fact he was shocked when he said what size of tyre and I guessed 225 by 35 on 18 inch and he went out and checked and said never sold that size before.

for the winter he suggests 16inch steels with matching tyres, so I referred to the current brochure to see the size of tyre for either 16" or even 17" steels (prefer to store my alloys over winter, it snows like hell here) so still wondering what to buy
