Just wondering what mods you have already done or are planning.

I like to keep my cars pretty factory spec looking, so i have only plans for the following:

18" Audi A1 wheels
VCDS mods
LED fog lights
Front and rear sliver vision indicator bulbs
Retro fit iPhone connectivity pack - video through the MMI
Remap or tuning box

I may even push the boat and go for -35mm lowering springs and 20mm spacers... But i doubt it. ;)

I thought about dust caps, but don't want to attract the attention of those young pikey kids on BMX's ;)

I am having my rear valence/front splitter painted black,as i think the grey does not suit amalfi white, also this will match my black rims and badges ,1.4 S-Line.

This sounds good, im liking the idea, do you have a link to the kit or an idea of price, I fancy some sort of dvd or other form of video playback from the MMI.

Some more info... A forum member found.

Audi have yet to release any approved retro fit hence the dealers don't know or cant as all dealer retro fits require svm coding
the retro fit is easy and can talk you through it if you like

I asked others about this and no one would comment so simply compared two vehicles and bought the ami lead after studying the 5f system and long code information by myself and found the green menu option was the way to do it

looked at A1 as well and same process for all supported 5f units with 3g and 3g+ and the lead 4f0 035 909 is long enough to go in the centre consul if you so wish

SO HERE IT IS FOR ALL AND NO NEED TO BE RIPPED OFF BY EBAY SELLERS

ami lead part number 4f0 035 909 (just check to make sure the securing clip comes with the lead to locate the dock in the glove box)

this lead plugs direct into the 5f control unit so no need to splice wires etc

the glove box has a pre cut position so you can remove the glove box find the pre cut and push the insert out and locate the ami ipod dock

then plug the ami lead into the ami and refit the glove box

now you need to access the hidden menu in address 5f

select address 5f

select adaption 10 channel 6 and set the value to 1 and save

now reboot the mmi using the softkeys

when the mmi comes back on press and hold set up and car until the green menu comes on

scroll down find diagnosis and enter then select settings and then scroll down to ami set this to 7/8

come out of the green screen and reboot mmi

now test the ami

total cost around £170

IMPORTANT

Any software updates will wipe the function so you need to reapply the changes if your vehicle has any dealer uodates

Im also really up for doing this, the information above was from a guy who did it in an A6 and checked the connectiojns in an A1 and said they were similar. I would be really interested in finding out what each part number is the ETKA parts catalogue and what the price of them now is.

Maybe a dealer could find a price over the phone for the loom. Ami lead part number 4f0 035 909

Then source the AMI > AV cable on ebay, if its cheaper.

Im thinking:

-Dust Caps off ebay
-Small Antenna (Already in watched ebay items)
-Retro fit the Sat Nav SD Card at zero cost or small cost
-Proper foot rest
-Audi TT Pedals
-Leather armrest
-Update the SW to support Data over 3G Phones and download info from Google Maps
-Buy the Ipod components cable to watch me series on the traffic
-Insert one or two cool stickers on the rear

I Think that's all folks :)
