Does anyone know what % the Audi Privacy glass is?

I wasn't able to add it to my order last week as it is now in production :(

Although i have been quoted £130 by a local guy who came 3rd in a Euro tinting competition and he said my Audi dealer use him for their work! :)

I will probably go for the same tint level as the Audi glass.

The Audi factory privacy glass is not film, but this will be.

That would be cool, thanks! I suspect it is 35% tint...

Thanks for the info... Looks like its one shade down from Limo glass then!

I will go for the 15% on all rear glass! :)

This is helpful, as when I finally order my car, I expect I'll be doing the exact same thing. Fair play to Audi, at least if they tint the windows, they do it properly. A friend of mine spec'd privacy glass on his mini a few years ago (similar price tag to Audi's) and it was a feable attempt really! You could quite clearly see through the rear windows, even from a distance, and the inside was almost no different to standard glass. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't bad, but I like my car's to be really dark inside! My current Fiesta is like a suntrap, so I'm looking forward to some shade!

Audi privacy glass is darker stained glass... £395. I was too late to add it, so it will be a film tint at £130. :(

It's it illegal to tint the front 2 windows in the uk? It is back home in Canada, ppl were getting 200 dollar tickets
Yes, any tint will put you over the limit on the front windows. In the Uk we get told to rip them off on the spot and possibly a fine.

Also your insurance will be invalid.

Is it really illegal? I keep finding different answers, can't find an official one though :(

It's either no tints forward of the b pillar or windows must let through 70% of light ( 75 for windscreen)

Most glass is very nearly near the limit from the factory so even a low tint would make it illegal
