We're thinking of retro fitting the Sound Proofing found until the bonnet lid of the 185ps A1 to our 122. It may "deepen" the engine note a little. Just need to find 3 part numbers, 1 for the material and 2 for the clips in the middle.

I've had a look on ETKA for you and have found this, it says "model PR-TF3,TP4" which means nothing to me.

I was washing my car yesterday after a 20 mile run,the area on the bonnet above the turbo was to hot to touch I do wonder whether all A1s need something under the bonnet(heatshield) .I wonder if it will will cause the paint
to discolour after time.

Fitted my soundproofing yesterday. Very pleased with it and the bonnet no longer gets warm after a run. Easy to fit two minute job.
