My insurance is due for renewal on 1st April. Tried Audi Ins but it was around £400. Done the normal comparison sites and the best was around £230.

Then I tried Aviva and got a quote for £205, fully comp, protected.

Went on the Top Cashback website and used their link to Aviva, retreived my quote of £205 and got cash back from them of £65.65.

So for a years fully comp, protected ins through a good company it is costing me £139.35, bargain !!

My cheapest quote was £295. With 250 xs, protected NCB, legal cover, hire car etc.
did that include theft mATES? because mE micra been broken into over 5 times now.... but guess that what happens when my car beats these audi A1.. special with that f****n dock off boost guage mates. I think your insurance cheaper because its slower than my micra you should consider buyer one..

Just phoned for quotes today to get a rough idea how much I will be paying as I'm not picking my car up till sept these are rough quotes apart from 1 I got they were around the same price as my other quotes £300 ish but the lovely lady Kim at chrisknott said to phone back next month with my cheapest quote at that time and they should be able to match or possibly beat so very pleased with the service big thumbs up!

We'll always do our best for members. Remember, if we can't quote for you it's not because we don't want to. We have criteria set for us by insurers. Sometimes we can negotiate on your behalf and get them to budge, others not.

Look forward to hearing back from you Massifff.

I'll be looking around for insurance quotes pretty soon. I live in the dreaded M21 postcode area which means insurance on cars is much higher than most places in the country.

A quick question about Audi insurance if I may for anyone who's used them. As it's done through Audi, do they have all the extras that you've ordered already on record (as you've bought the car through them)?

Just curious that's all.

No, they won't have. The manufacturer's scheme will be run by an outside insurance company rather than Audi themselves so no data will be shared about your purchase. It means they'll also only have one policy to offer - they won't be selecting the best product from a range of providers.

Thanks for the reply Chris.

I'll be in touch fairly shortly once I know when the car is going to be delivered etc.

Sorry beastmaster, M21 is one of the hardest places for us to quote competitively - there will be others out there who will be more competitive in this scenario. Save yourself the call :)

I was looking around at insurance and went on the Audi website to get a quote, but apparently they can't insure me. I'm 20 with 2 years no claims, never had an accident but still no. Was a bit disappointed that I'm paying so much for an Audi but can't get their insurance! Oh well, shall stick to Diamond!

Audi insurance quoted me £460 whereas other companies were around the £280 mark. Audi said it was high because they ensure Audi parts are used in repairs and that maintains the warranty. I'd never thought about that as a consideration before. Anyone been burned by this before?
