When people get their deliveries (after you've taken lots of pics for your gallery) - if theres either a CD-ROM Manual included with the paper copy or one on the MMI-3G/DVD that can be uploaded to a PC - can someone put it onto some web server/hosting site so it can be downloaded and looked at by those still waiting.

This was done on the A5 forums - and also included a virtual cockpit simulator where you could press all the buttons and it told you what they were for/did - it even included a virtual DIS and MMI-3G showing all the options and menus and settings too - I've lost the link though and can't find the post on the forum from a quick search.

Every other item I buy, I can go to the manufacturers website and download PDF's and better - car manufacturers (though I've only looked at Audi) don't seem to do that.

Good - hope there is something available (I wouldn't ask someone to scan 200 pages of an A5 (size) manual) - why Audi UK (+others) don't do it is baffling (except for deterring competitors from stealing ideas without putting too much effort in like buy/borrow/rent one).

Well there are several different variants of the manuals, for different engines etc and these are updated regularily and so it is likely that Audi just want to control what version you see to avoid confusion "my manual said the battery is in the boot", etc.

Who knows? Many centres now have a handover specialist anyway and they will spend time with you making sure you are happy with how the car works before leaving the dealership anyway. I wonder if the replacement manuals are available yet... Investigation me thinks...

Reminder - to those lucky recipients picked by the Ingolstadt pixies...

If they come with a CD-ROM/USB-key of the Manual - or its downloadable from the MMI 3G - can someone maybe put it somewhere others can look as it - I can host if required.

I'm hoping the virtual dashboard feature like the A5 had is still present - but plain old PDF's would be good too.
