Second hand Toyota RAV-4 Diesel.

Hi,
Anybody had a Rav 4 diesel upto facelift in 2006? or maybe even newer. Will be used for light towing.

D4-D engine. Basically looking to see of any problems/ buying tips for the diesel model.

Trim spec etc,

Looking for a decent 4x4 and like the Rav 4. My next choice maybe the Ford Kuga 4x4 as also like the look, over the x-trail etc.

Any other 4x4 sugestions welcome.

I had a petrol version, I bought it over the diesel as it was much cheaper and I wasn't going to do many miles, good car and it was great in the snow that we had a few years ago, the Toyota dealers were also excellent. I also like the Kuga, make sure its a 4x4 though as loads of them are two wheel drive.

I too had a petrol one a few years back.

Faultless in the two years we kept it.

It was starting to look a little corroded underneath when we sold it, worth checking. (four years ago)

I'm sure I saw on the front of this weeks auto express that the rav 4 is the best value all round small 4x4 or something along those lines. Haven't had my delivery of car porn yet so I'll have a read and let you know when I see it, or go and buy it yourself. Think it's auto express with the new f type on the front
