Here is how you can update your A1's Bluetooth firmware to the latest version via SD Card.

Download the latest firmware direct from Audi here - http://www.audi.com/com/brand/en/tools/ ... layerModal

Unzip the files and drag the following onto the SD Card.

BT_CK5050P
default_upb_S.sig
default.upb

Goto MMI Set up, scan down and you will find the section to perform the update.

The latest version at 20/11/12 is - bt_update_v3249_

June 2013 version download link can be found on page 2

Hi

+1. I asked about the ? on my car and got a smile and the response "no update as it's meant to be like that"

Will email the service manager to see what he says.

Did you guys try it? I updated my 2012 earlier.

Not too sure Spider, probably bugs and new mobile devices added?

Is it posting up lots of repeat posts? Have you updated the App? Its a bit buggy for me too. Crashes etc.

Just an update! Use a SD card only for this as if Audi have not de activated the sat nav disc security feature on your headunit on delivery the cd will not eject.

So, use a SD Card only guys!

Well I always thought my car was MY12 but as it won't let me run the update it looks like its a MY11.

Never mind, the only issue I have with BT is that the "time playing" counts twice as fast when streaming music from my phone.

Thanks Moj......I've done mine today following your post.
Despite being a July 13 vehicle the BT software was several evolutions behind
Much improved iPhone 5 connectivity speed I've noticed :)

Thanks for this, I'll upgrade mine tonight :)

Is there anyway to check all outstanding updates?

#17 ·
No probs, im going to update mine tomorrow.

Only the Bluetooth is user updatable, the dealer will check for car updates if or when its booked in.

Updated all ok...

Just a note, you can drag all the contents from the main folder onto the SD Card as seen below.

Im getting 'The CRC of the release info is not correct'

Any ideas?

CRCs are mainly used to check that data is not corrupted or incomplete. It can also be used as a way of creating a unique ID for a file so that you can check if the file is the correct one.

I would try downloading the file again.

Also make sure the sd card is empty before dragging the files as seen in the above picture to the root of the card.

I'm getting this too. The only thing I've not done is formatted the SD but I had emptied it.

Has anyone been able to update Phone Prep High with this firmware?

Formatted the SD and still getting the same.

Tried downloading again and making sure the card was completely formatted (a couple of times) but still getting the same CRC error.

Could be down to this though :(

From Audi's site:
The software update for the mobile phone preparation (Bluetooth) or Bluetooth interface in conjunction with MMI radio plus / concert radio is only available in the A1, A6, A7 and Q3 starting from the production month of June 2011 (model year 2012) and A3 starting from the production month of August 2012 (model year 2013).
Mine was originally purchased in April of 2011, which is very frustrating as I currently have no track timer through bluetooth and also no track info at all when using apps like deezer.

Stu can you confirm when your car was made mate?

I have one last resort and thats trying a different SD card... doubtful though.

Mine was built around Week 51 of 2012 I think, it's a MY13.
