One day I will have a second car that will be an appreciating classic.

It's good to see that Ford have a few cars that fall into this. The original Cossie is a great car.

I also believe the A1 Quattro will fall into this bracket also. I would leave it a few years, but if you get a good one, I think you will end up loosing no money.

I recently bought a 80k mile Civic Coupe VTI for £1500. Won't lose a penny even if I put 60k miles onto it. Pulls like a train. From the era of 'character' engines
Sold: 2012 Daytona A1 Black Edition TDI / 5 year service plan / Averaged 55mpg first 6900 miles
Now drives: 2012 UP!

The cossies have become classic
Due to the full on rally versions looks very close to the road versions and people were sold the idea that they were owning some rally heritage
Plus the fact that there was nothing like it for the money
For less than £20k you could go out and play with the big boys
The cossie was the start of a new breed
As for future classics the A1 Quattro will be another 20 years

Always remember a local guy spending thousands on his white Cossie, it used to throw flames out the exhaust! :D

I wish i kept my Escort RS Turbo's, they would be worth more now than what i paid for them in the 90's!

I reckon the A2 is a future classic as well, numbers are dwindling. A guy on the A2 forum has started to restore them to sell.

Yes there are not many nice A2's left out there. Most i see have been repaired or have dash warning lights on with failed sensors.

Find a mint tdi90 and it should be a future classic.
