Polo GTi

Postby scottBremner » Fri Aug 17, 2012 7:47 pm

So has anyone owned/driven/enquired about one of these.

Looking like this will be my next car, really quite fancy one.

Also does anyone have any sort of pcp figures for these?

Cheers

Have alook round briskoda(Fabia vrs)seat Cupra.net(Ibiza Cupra) the A1 185 ukpolos they all share the platform engine gearbox they all suffer similar issues But theirs many happy owners with little or no issues they are cracking cara

I'd say look at the Fabia vrs they vat off and 0% they a bargain at the moment

Darren a member on the forum decided to go for the Polo GTI instead of the A1 185. They are nice especially the Alloys and GTI Styling

Polo GTi

Whats pushing me towards one is they are a bit more special than a 185 visually anyway with the GTi detailing.

Also they come in at about 1,500-2000 cheaper than a decent spec 185.

Fabia VRS would be perfect if it was a 3 door, the 5 door is a little frumpy.

From what I can tell the only problem with the 185 is oil consumption. Lots of people seem to have no problems with oil but there is deffo a few who do.

Would love to but list price and insurance will be whopping I think.

Does the BE A1 run a stiffer set up compared to the Gti?

Not sure if it's stiffer but gti has different setting in vcds for its steering
Making it feel a bit heavier

Yeah I'm running that setting on my A1.

Anyone have any real pcp info on these. The VW Calculator seems expensive. I'm sure with some haggling/orange wheels/ deals this could e brought down a fair bit.
