Just before Christmas, Curry's PC World, had a very enticing almost too good to refuse offer.
They were heavily discounting several Ultra HD 4k tvs.

I bought a Samsung 43in Ultra HD model for £399, down from £549.

The BBC or ITV have yet to broadcast in full Ultra HD, but televisions with four times the pixel density of an ordinary HD set, boost the picture quality considerably.

There is talk that the next Beijing Olympics coverage on the BBC will be the first ever 4k broadcast.

The technology is the way to go, and boy am i glad i invested in a new set.

Do you mean Tokyo? If so that is in 4 years, by which time a TV bought now will be virtually obsolete. Or maybe Rio, this year? Sadly this year's Olympics won't be broadcast in 4K.

That said, I am likely to be in the market for a new TV this year and 4K seems a no-brainer (unlike 3D, which I am still not sold on).
