Re: [How To] VCDS

I tried to set the rear LED as DRL, but I couldn't find the option...

Am I missing something?

Also, anyone know which code to use to make the DRL blink like this?\?

[How To] VCDS

To set rear led as drl... You need to make sure you have the xenon option fitted before trying this.

Go through the VCDS settings listed and in the long codes you will see a box with the number 72.

Click in the box and type 73.

Ronald,

The dimming on DRL is automatically linked with signal light and small light.
no need to set at VCDS, your car is already like this.
you try try.

Did anyone try and get this one working ? I actived it on my car but does not seems to work,

Are there any another bit that should or should not be marked on Byte 5 ?

I tried the following, but found something wrong

• [VCDS] DRL 100% And Rear LEDs
• Device 09-central electronics> coding> byte 11, bit 2
• The green indicator light on the light switch stays lit all the time when the DRL is. Also the map display in navigation • mode is dimmed for night usage all the time.

After changing this, the Xenon headlight will stay on with the DRL after ignition (the switch is at OFF position). Are you having the same situation? actually, what is DRL100% abd Rear LEDs?

Yes, i found that too.

That VCDS code needs deleting. To activate rear DRL you need to change 72 to 73 in the long code box as mentioned earlier.

It will activate the rear LEDs as DRLs like the front DRLs.
